Tualatin Riverkeepers Summer Camps focus on fostering a sense of awareness and love for the natural world. Campers are encouraged to explore their natural instincts to learn and discover the natural world.

Summer Camp Sessions

Wildlife Adventure – Morning Session
June 25-29
Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge
ages 4-6
9 am – 12 pm
$135
Campers will discover the secrets of the Refuge.  They will see a Great Blue Heron fishing for his breakfast, hear the call of the raptors soaring above and feel fur of a red fox!  Campers experience sensory awareness activities that will stay with them for a life time. We will make crafts, draw maps and make friends!


Wildlife Adventure – Afternoon Session 
 June 25-29
Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge
ages 4-6
1 pm – 4 pm
$135
Same program as the morning session. River Adventure 1
July 9-13
Summer Creek Natural Area
ages 11-13
9 am – 4 pm
$220
During this camp we will explore Summer Creek natural area, unlock the secrets of what goes on at night, discover what lives in Summer Creek, and who claims the Ponderosa’s as their home.  We will have one full day of kayaking on the Tualatin River leaving from Cook Park in Tigard. 


River Adventure 2 THIS SESSION IS FULL
July 16-20
Summer Creek Natural Area
ages 7-10
9 am- 4 pm
$220
During this camp we will build forts, discover what lives in summer creek, and explore the wonders of nature. You will catch a crawdad!   We will have one full day of canoeing on the Tualatin River, leaving from Cook Park in Tigard.


River Adventure 3
August 6-10
Summer Creek Natural Area
ages 11-13
9 am – 4 pm
$220
During this camp we will explore the trails in Summer Creek natural area, identify the plants and trees, and discover signs left by the Summer Creek wildlife residents. We will have one full day of a kayaking, leaving from Cook Park in Tigard.


River Adventure 4 - THIS SESSION IS FULL
August 13-17
Summer Creek Natural Area
ages 7-10
9 am – 4 pm
$220
During this camp we will build forts, make maps and discover the forest. At Summer Creek we will see raptors flying overhead, listen to the birds discuss their day.  We will have one full day of canoeing on the Tualatin River, leaving from Cook Park in Tigard.

Refund Policy
An 85% refund is available if you cancel one month prior to the camp start date. A 50% refund is available if you cancel 2 weeks prior to camp start date.

Staff
All camp staff are enthusiastic and dedicated to enhancing your child's camp experience. All are CPR/First AID certified and have passed a background check.

Canoe and Kayak Trips
Camp sessions with a canoe or kayak trips are led by trained, experienced trip leaders. Life Jackets will be worn at all times, and safety will be a priority.
